Who are we?

Our founding directors are friends who have worked together on campaigns and projects but now we want to do something bigger together and that’s why Wild Justice exists. We’ve each got our separate jobs and activities outside Wild Justice, we don’t agree about everything, but we want to work together to make a difference for wildlife.
The founding directors are not paid a salary.
In 2025 we appointed our first Chief Executive. This is who we are…
Ruth Tingay

Ruth Tingay

Founding Director
Dr Ruth Tingay is a conservationist, blogger and campaigner. She is a former International Director and Past President of the Raptor Research Foundation. Since 2010 she has been campaigning against the illegal persecution of birds of prey in the UK and she writes the influential Raptor Persecution UK blog.

Bob Elliot

Bob Elliot

CEO
Bob has worked in the nature conservation and animal welfare sector for over 30 years and joined us from the Scotland-based charity OneKind where he was CEO for the last seven years. Prior to that, Bob worked as Head of Investigations at the RSPB for over 10 years as well as other roles with The National Trust for Scotland and The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

Chris Packham

Founding Director
Chris Packham is a naturalist, nature photographer, television presenter and author. He was awarded a CBE for services to nature conservation in the 2019 New Year Honours List.
